Painted Brake Calipers
How to paint your brake calipers with minimal effort. This mod is dirt cheap and makes the car look quite nice.

Est. Time: 4-6 hours w/drying time between coats

  1. Take off the cover to the Rims
  2. Loosen the nuts before jacking up the car
  3. Jack the car up where the car manual tell you
  4. Take off the nuts

  1. Take the wheel off
  2. Get a brush and some Brake Dust Remover
  3. Spray the Brake Dust Remover on the caliper
  4. Scrub the caliper
  5. Rinse the caliper off
  6. Let Dry

  1. Get a plastic bag to cover the rotor
  2. User a screw driver to push the plastic in all the way

  1. User high temp paint - there are 2 ways to do this
    1. Get a cheap bowl and spray the paint into the bowl.  Use a paint brush to paint the calipers
    2. Make sure that everything is covered up really well and just spray the caliper
  2. Let dry
  3. Repeat Step 13 and 14 till it looks good - at least 2 coats but up to 5
  4. User a high temp clear coat to protect the color - at least 1 coat but up to 3

  1. Get some paint thinner and a few q-tips to touch up the areas that you got paint on

  1. Put tire back on
  2. Put nuts back on and hand tighten
  3. Lower car
  4. Tighten the nuts the rest of the way

  1. Put center cap back on
