The Alutiq and Aleut people live from Prince William Sound to the volcanic
islands of the Aleutian clain. They build underground, the entrance
was modified for visitors.
They are build underground due to the 100 to 200 mph winds the get on the
islands. When covered in snow they look like the movie version of

Our first stop was Joy, AK. This a town of two families. The one
who owns the General Store has adopted or fostered more than 40 children,
home schooling them all! |
